No they told me explicitly only within 30 days of activating my new phone. Honestly if your screen still works live with it, and next time put TEP on it right when you get it.

I think it's a crap shoot. I have done it on a phone that is used, bought off ebay, and well after the 30 day period.

I've even done it recently.

My intentions were true though, just trying to protect my investment.

Can't you just ESN swap to some old phone you have lying around (or a $6 one on Ebay) -- and then ESN swap back? Then the 30 days starts over, right?

Re: Screen cracked on ~3 months old Diamond, no TEP though, what should I do?

Replacing the screen shouldn't be too hard. I've done it on my apache and there's videos out there for the mogul. I don't know if anyone's posted a disassembly for the diamond. Just need to be careful when taking it apart. But yeah if your screen is still useable. I'd leave it. Sprint repair wanted to charge me $120 for replacing my apache screen. I got it off ebay new for under $30 shipped. Took about 3 weeks to get here, but it finally came last week and out came the T6 Torx wrench and #0-0 philips screwdriver. 1.5 hours later apache was good as new. I just hope you're comfortable with ribbon cables and such. They're delicate but not totally fragile. You just need to be careful. Don't just rip things apart and don't use too much force.

30 days from when you activate it on your account. Not when it was originally activated. Yeah it still leaves them open to fraud but its still pretty generous I think.

does that mean that people that signed up before the 19th still stay on the old $50.00 or is it going up for everyone regardless of when you sign up.

Re: Screen cracked on ~3 months old Diamond, no TEP though, what should I do?

going up for everyone.

they said that the first time you pay the monthy fee after the change, you are agree to the new terms. i recieved a letter in the mail from assurion that outlined the change and the devices.

i have a pda on all 3 of my lines and i am not happy about this change.
