is there a way to NOT default to wap pages?

like for instance I would like to use the normal NFL.com page not the wap, or Cnet.com for that matter

You have to update the user agent settings in Opera. In PIE you are screwed...

Re: is there a way to NOT default to wap pages?

open opera, type opera:config in the address. Go to User Preferences and then scroll down to near the middle and under User Agent, it should say something like this:

Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 7.11) Sprint MP6950SP

Change it to this:

Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 6.0; en)

Then all web pages should open up to the full page and not the WAP or mobile versions.

Re: is there a way to NOT default to wap pages?

Under User Agent all there is is spoof user agent ID with a choice of either 1-5. Under User Prefs there is custom user agent with:
Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 7.11) Sprint MP6950SP
I changed it to what you suggested and it still goes to WAP pages.

Did you make sure to scroll down and ckick Save? Did you completely close Opera and try again? Did you try a soft reset?

Re: is there a way to NOT default to wap pages?

Yes to all of those and a hard reset. Still to no avail. How do I reset to factory settings. I think I might have done something to the settings before I changed this and would like to try again from default settings.

In opera:config I thing there is a "revert to defaults" option...

Re: is there a way to NOT default to wap pages?

After resetting to default and changing the user agent again it still does not work. I really need this to work so any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.
