Unhappy Application not digitally signed?? Please help

I have kitchen 6.1 installed on my 6700 and when I try to run the CAB file for TomTom I get this message. I looked all over this site and the internet and can not find a solution for how to get it to install. The exact message I get is " Installation was unsuccesful. The program or settings cannot be installed because it is not digitally signed with a trusted certificate."

Please help, I need this today as I am heading out of state and will really need this.

Thanks!

Re: Application not digitally signed help

try this which is located here

Disable the security warning when installing non-certified application
To disable the security warning when installing a non-certfied application, set:
HKLM\Security\Policies\Policies\0000101a = 1 (DWORD decimal)
To restore the warnings:
HKLM\Security\Policies\Policies\0000101a = 0 (DWORD decimal)

Note that this makes it easier for any malware to install itself

Re: Application not digitally signed help

Thanks for the quick reply, but when I navigated to that location it was already set at "1", any other ideas?

Re: Application not digitally signed help

did you try changing it to 0? The reason I say that is because that link I gave to you with the all those edits are for WM5 and I see you are using 6.1 so there may be a slight difference (if any at all) so changing it from 1 to 0 may be what you need or it may not. Only one way to find out.

Re: Application not digitally signed help

I tried "0" and that did not work either... I am a NEWB at this, so bare with me. But if I upgraded it to 6.1 does that automatically "unlock" the phone? I was reading that you get this error if it is not unlocked. Any other ideas?

Re: Application not digitally signed help

No it doesnt not unlock the phone. Unlocking means changing the phone over to other compatable carriers. I dont have any further ideas on your issue because I am running WM5. Maybe someone else with WM6 and TomTom can better assist.
