the tutorial by JBabey really helps alot...
Basically U have to do a comparison of the OS before & after installing with the cab file because the setup dll adds things you wont find unless using the cab.
So you look for any/all changes to the registry and any folders.. there can be many files and is why some programs are not bothered to be made into OEMs.

did a quick read through on the walk through and to be honest, I'm not sure it's worth the effort vs just keeping the cabs on my card and running them after a hard reset. What I'm looking at is WA3, PI 2007, PB, iLauncher, pocket quicken, and pocket weather. for the SBSH products; I've copied their setting to the card as well and can get these proggies up and running in a couple of minutes. The rest take a few minutes more.
My biggest issue is with proggies installed to the card. Seems that i need to re-register all of them and either re-install them in order for them to function 100%. Would love to figure out how to fix that and add it to my OEM !
