can WM be emulated on desk or lap?
I'd like to be able to simulate my ppc on my desktop so that I
can try or run various progams and installation techniques in some confined desktop environment prior to installing on my phone. Seems like it should be easy enough. Does any such software exist to do this? Heck, sometimes I just forget what a program is and it would be nice to joggle my memory without taking any chance of crashing my ppc just to recall. |
Re: can WM be emulated on desk or lap?
I found the microsoft device emulator, is anyone running it and can it truly be run "stand alone" as downloaded from MS's website? Are there any additional drivers or other details left out which have you scratching your head?
I did read on one site that this is the case but it doesn't lead you to the additional items said to be needed. |

and does anyone know if running the whole mess in Sandboxie would be a good idea or make more problems than it would be worth?

Re: can WM be emulated on desk or lap?
It's okay... It comes with Visual Studio, and I'll use it to test something I'm coding, but generally prefer to use a spare phone for heavy testing... (You should be able to find an older WM device for under $50, especially if it has a bad radio or other problem...)

soti.net - great product that houses a library of device skins and also enables avi recording of your maneuvers for training/ sharing

Weedahoe, do you ever wander two to four hours east of Hotlanta?
If so I'd be interested in seeing about a possibility or two and would like to discuss a couple things with you via the phone. |
