Re: mail2web issues

I have tried all the different settings suggested here with my 800w and 6700 both devices have the same problem. I am moving this thread to general discussion to see how many of the PPCGeeks members are having these issues.

Re: mail2web issues

I was having problems after loading a new ROM, I checked with my cousin who also uses mail2web and he was having the same problem, but he had not made any changes to the ROM. I contacted Mail2web and they said it was something on their end. Everything is working fine now.

Re: mail2web issues

I've tried everything in this thread to fix my Mail2web issues but it still isn't working. The only way I can get it to work is to disable encryption and I'm not willing to do that. Anybody figure out what the problems is?

For everyone that's still having issues try this:

First delete the exchange server completely from Activesync, then procede with these values...

Email Address = youremailaddress@mail2web.com

Check the box that says automatically find exchange settings.

Old User Name: myemailaddress_mail2web.com
New User Name: myemailaddress@mail2web.com

Check the box that says save password.

Old Server Name: mobile.exchange.mail2web.com
New Server Name: exchange.mail2web.com

Check the box that says server requires SSL connection.

Also, when using the old user name (myemailaddress_mail2web.com), I would also have to input ad2 for the domain. Using the new user name, this is not necessary.

The second I made these changes, it immediately connected and went through fine.

Mine broke yesterday for no reason around 11:30 and removing "mobile" from "mobile.exchange.mail2web.com" worked for me (i was using the @ symbol for user name so it didn't need to change). After that change it worked fine, good news is this didnt require a deletion of the connection

I haven't updated roms recently , but i do see lots of threads about that as well. Perhaps there is an exchange update that doesn't like the push as much anymore. if it happens again i'll just put "mobile" back in and see. I really hope its not something that happens after a certain number of pings or something as one person suggested for their work's exchange server

Are there any security risks with disabling SSL?

Re: mail2web issues

I was having the same problem as everyone else above with mail2web. Unchecking SSL worked.

But now I cannot send mail - I hit "Send" and nothing happens, the email sits in my Outbox unless I go into Active Sync and hit "Sync". Tnen it will go through and send the emails I tried to send by hitting send. I check the box in Active Sync options that says send email when I hit send (or something to that effect. I unchecked it and check it again and still no dice. Anyone having this problem? This only started happening when I put the new Sprint Touch ROM on my Sprint Touch. Very frustrating.

Re: mail2web issues

I followed Imcokeman's advice:

Mine broke yesterday for no reason around 11:30 and removing "mobile" from "mobile.exchange.mail2web.com" worked for me (i was using the @ symbol for user name so it didn't need to change). After that change it worked fine, good news is this didnt require a deletion of the connection

And it's now working great.

Re: mail2web issues

I have changed the server address and user name I am able to get my Treo 800w to connect and sync with mail2web just fine on its own. When I connect to my laptop my treo 800w syncs fine with my laptop but will not connect to mail2web. I have tried everything listed here and all the tricks I have used in the past but nothing seams to work. Everything is synched up with both just cant sync all three (800w, laptop, and mail2web) together through my laptop.
