[KERNEL] Ziggy471 Droid Incredible Kernels [Updated 31 Aug]

Ziggy471’s Kernels for Droid Incredible

After trying a few of the kernels out there, I figured I’d dust off my kernel building skills. Being that most of my computer experience is in ‘Nix and I’ve been running Linux since the pre 1.0 kernel days, and have compiled and tweak more kernels then I really care to remember, I figured WTH. So here is my first of hopefully many kernels that I’ll be posting here and on PPCG, I have others testing on different devices right now.

I decided to release my kernels here on PPCG, due to the need for Android development here, please don’t take that the wrong way, I still hang out on XDA too. lol

31 Aug 10:
- Removed BFS, it didn't play nice with the Interactive Gov
- Added MinMax Gov
- Overclock is now capped at 1.152 for stability
- As I remember the other things, I'll add them in here

27 Aug 10:
- HTC Verizon MR Incredible Kernel 2.6.32.15 base
- Using Koush’s AnyKernel update.zip
- Overclocked – Up to 1.190Ghz
(1.152GHz appears to be my sweet spot, others may be different, but you have been warned)
- Undervolted
- CPU Scaling Interactive supported (Default)
- CPU Scaling Ondemand supported
- CPU Scaling Userspace supported
- CPU Scaling Performance supported
- CPU Scaling Powersave supported
- CPU Scaling Conservative supported
- EXT4 as a module
- CIFS as a module
- BFS scheduler
- A whole lot more that I can’t remember.

As always, I am not responsible for any damage you may or may not do to your phone.

I'd definitely like to know, so I can make a better one for everyone to enjoy.

I know if I run at 1.190, I have the occasional kernel panic with a reboot, especially while running Quadrant, that's why I recommend 1.152, but I've read other places that people have been successful at that speed, so I left it in.

Re: [KERNEL] Ziggy471 Droid Incredible BFS-OC-UV-Inter

Im seeing alot of what looks like "corruption data" spots. In other words, after I install the zip and reboot, im seeing little black lines appear sparatically throughout the screen. I am unable to get out of lock screen which will not allow me to access anything nor will it allow me to "fast push" any of the Oncreeen commands (reboot/powerdown/etc). Battery pull has to be performed. Same issues with the pm .zip you sent me.

Out of curiosity, (and I know this has nothing to do with the issues on hand) what are you undervolting this kernel to?

Never seen any issues like that, but if one person has those, others may. I'd be more than willing to up the voltage to get yours working.

Here's the list:
Clock-Orig VDD-New VDD2
245760-1050-900
384000-1050-975
422400-1050-1000
460800-1050-1000
499200-1075-1050
537600-1100-1050
576000-1100-1075
614400-1125-1100
652800-1150-1125
691200-1175-1150
729600-1200-1175
844800-1250-1225
883200-1275-1250
921600-1300-1275
960000-1300-1275
998400-1300-1275
1036800- -1275
1075200- -1300
1113600- -1300
1152000- -1300

These are the same as most others that are running undervoltage on their kernels. I'll do another build today with all stock voltages for you to see if that helps.
