Screenshots for Windows Mobile 7 and its improvements!!!
We've seen the 6.5.1 leaks from WMExperts today that combined TouchFLO 3D and 6.5.1 together into a tidy package along with the leaks of the Windows Mobile 7 mockups earlier. Now, our very own tipster has delivered some exciting additional screenshots to pocketnow.com, giving us a peak of the Call screen, Calendar, Contact, Email, Text Messaging, and Settings!
Before we jump into each individual screenshot, here's what we do know: 1. These pictures were supposed to have been for Windows Mobile 6.5.1; we're guessing it will get absorbed and rolled into Windows Mobile 7 as the 6.5.1 leaks aren't anywhere near as nice as what we're seeing. 2. The top picture shows vanilla Windows Mobile 6.5; the bottom screenshot are the re-designed Windows Mobile user interface--call it 6.5.1 or 7 or whatever you will. 3. Most importantly, what Microsoft is doing looks hot! 4. The soft keys are back in full force, and not like some of the later leaked 6.5 builds. We're talking traditional soft keys with maybe soft menus. 5. And here's the OMG moment. Dude, where's my Start Button?? With Windows Mobile 6.5 getting marketing push to be called a Windows phone complete with the Windows flag logo and all, it looks like Microsoft has removed the Start menu, or at least the Windows flag logo for it! get a better view here http://pocketnow.com/tech-news/windo...s-and-analysis Last edited by MikeElGiga23; 10-20-2009 at 05:47 PM. |

Re: Screenshots for Windows Mobile 7 and its improvements!!!
I may be crazy, but I think I see a windows flag logo on several of those screens...
I don't see the word start... but I see a silver and black windows logo (which I REALLY like by the way lol.) Can't wait to see things to come. p. |

Re: Screenshots for Windows Mobile 7 and its improvements!!!
is it possible the reason why the images look so small is based on the device? didn't con say THE device for wm 7 is the samsung i780 with 320x320 pixels?
That may be indicative of the size...as for how it looks, it is a leak so things are definitely going to change just as it did with wm 6.5. So far I enjoy the palm-ish appearance to some of the oem apps (calendar sms, outlook) |

Re: Screenshots for Windows Mobile 7 and its improvements!!!
Ugh.
Clarification: these are NOT screenshots. These are mockups used for design purposes and discussion....a kind of "is this what you were thinking?" tool. Second: they're from March and are old and are probably out-dated. Don't get me wrong, interesting stuff, but perspective is needed when reporting the details. |
