Verizon Connect Plan old xv6700

Just got upgraded to the Samsung rogue and had to get verizon's connect plan. Unlimited data, etc. for dumb phones. Has anyone tried to use a xv6700 or xv6800 on this plan. I would love to go back to my xv6700 or build a new xv6800 and use this plan. Would verizon require another data plan because this is a "smart phone"? I had this phone activated on their lowest plan and had the data blocked so they did not kill me with their pay as you go data. So is this phone grandfathered into this plan? That would be an awesome alternative to their other plans. Let me know what you think. I would like to try if anyone think it may work.

yes you will need the unlimited data plan ranges from 30.00 to 60.00 if its an xv6700 I just had mine connected with no data plan because I can use the wifi for free rather than paying for there service which will probably bend you over if you know what I mean I got 450 mins anytime and unlim txts to all carriers if you have an xv 6700 just *228 option 1 or call your local verizon rep please hit the green button

Re: Verizon Connect Plan old xv6700

just to add the smaRT PHONE PACKAGE IS 60.00 this is the one that the xv6700 uses from verizon if you have the unlim data plan you should be alright unles you have the 30.00 a month plan in that case they will hammer I had them block the data feature and i can use wifi from anyone that has open connect and also use my connect at work becuase the 30.00 plan does not support the 6700 pocket pc the will ask if you want the 60.00 package get it at own discression

Re: Verizon Connect Plan old xv6700

Actually there is a $45 dollar plan for the 6700. Tons of us have tried to get them to let us use the the $30 plan on the 6700, because it is no different from the 6800. But some of them stupid reps are brainwashed into thinking it can't work...

You can't thank yourself, so you don't see it on your own posts, if that's what you meant. You do, however, have an Edit button instead, just so you know.

Re: Verizon Connect Plan old xv6700

@ SpeedyGT: Yes the 6800 on up uses the newer plans.

@ richyrich: Yeah Verizon has a lot of lying reps. I almost always tell them to get me to a manager (really only someone with an extra hour of "training"). The $45 dollar plan will work for the 6700 so make them give it to you if you want it. Also yeah I love Fender guitars. I have two Strats, a Tele and a Spruce top Acoustic from them. Musical instruments take up my life, I play a lot.
