Notification vs ringer volume

I did some searching, and while I can modify the ringtone volumes (using the registry) to attenuate them, I can't figure out how to increase my txt notification volume. I've even run it through goldwave and jacked up the volume, but its getting to be excessive (+40 db?). I know my Q had options to set volumes for notifications and ringtones seperately (not to mention it was just plain loud) but when I put the phone up to 100% to hear my notifications for messages and get a phone call I wake up the baby 2 rooms away.

Is there maybe an app that can help me out with this? I have the registry set for ringtone0 to play at 70% which helps to balance them a little, but I still can't hear my notification from 5 feet away.

My searching gave me the registry settings I used, and 99% of the rest are in call earpiece volume issues, which I resolved by making my earpiece hole bigger =X

Forgot to mention, WM 6.5 v1.00 apache
