Exclamation Voicemail Icon on HTC Apache

How do i clear the icon on my HTC Apache?
I know that if i actually listen to my voicemail the icon should go away but when i call up it asks for a pin that i do not know !

This was not originally my phone so im guessing the previous owner had a pin , if thats how it works?

But if someone could just help me out ?

Re: Voicemail Icon on HTC Apache

Open the phone app, click menu/options. go to the services tab and scroll down to voicemail. Tap get settings. This will bring up the clear voicemail. It may be that the phone is set to the original owners voicemail account and the number is wrong. Post your carrier so we can help if that is the problem.
