Getting ROMs on my phone (Please Help Me!!!!!)

I think I must have posted in the wrong section... because no one responded...

I put SPL-2.4.Olipro on my phone (barely got it on there... long story see below link) and then flashed using the Alltel download from the HTC website. All was well, it booted up fine twice. I hit the comm manager button and it restarted the phone (could have been coincidence, I suppose). The phone had no screen on startup. Just blank. The green LED came on and stayed on. So I tried to reflash with other things... with no luck. They all give me one error or another including comm errors, corrupted images, etc. So I used mtty to erase the roms on my phone (at least I think it worked) and had nothing changed; except that I now also get errors involving outdated nbf files and 'this upgrade is not for your phone' or something like that. I really don't know where to go from here. I tried using my SD card yesterday; and it just got stuck on loading... Now I read that it's supposed to do that? But I don't have the SD card tonight... Do I have the right process? Unlock - Radio - ROM ? Is there any way around the SD card besides downgrading to Oli 1.2 (obviously I can't use activesync with no Windows [can i?]). Thanks for any input... I really need help with this!

Re: Getting ROMs on my phone (Please Help Me!!!!!)

Well, I don't know what you mean by dead, but you may have run the battery dead and now need to find a way to recharge it.

Now you unlocked your phone. That was the first step. What radio did you install before loading the rom?

If you can get to the bootloader screen you can still use your computer to flash stuff onto your phone. It will say usb at the bottom of the bootloader screen if connected.

Re: Getting ROMs on my phone (Please Help Me!!!!!)

More details! yay! lol. I'm gonna go through and thank everybody after this one.

I can get it into bootloader, I can get it to connect. It won't allow me to flash anything. not radios, not roms, and i can't even re unlock the phone. the memory in the phone is said to be corrupt; and that seems to make sense in my book.
(the reboot loop of the original roms; the alltel crash; problems flashing via usb; problems flashing via sd)

Thanks

Re: Getting ROMs on my phone (Please Help Me!!!!!)

Sometimes I have seen problems with Vista and the flashing process. Not sure want version of Windows but if using Vista I would make sure you launch your flashing software as administrator (right click - run as administrator). If on Vista make sure you have the latest Windows Mobile Device Center and turn off the USB syncing temporarily while flashing you software.

You mentioned Activesync so maybe you are on Windows XP.

Just trying to help with more info !
