XV6700 and tasks I can do

Hi guys

I just got a XV6700 and I am trying to convert it to MetroPCS it was a
Verizon phone before.

I got a few tasks and have some questions.
1) If updated the PRL to Metro PCS what else do I need to do get Metro PCS to bring the phone online. I took it to them before I did the PRL update and they said they couldn't find it. But I used diag code and saw that it was on a MetroPCS tower now. So in theory I can just take the phone back and have them enter my phone ESN to there system?

I used this proecedure to update the PRL but I am not interested in duplicating an ESN..

2) WM6.1 can I just jump directly into or do I need to update the boot rom, radio, basically what are the preqs to doing this?

3) can I use the registry hacks that were listed in one of these threads with WM6.1? Does this allow support of WPA2-PSK?

4) After I finish the project I am thinking of getting me a 2nd phone and starting this over again? What phone seems to be the most popular and affordable? I was thinking a 6900 but it seems that it looses its WiFi.

I have done some searching but I still little a lost and I appreciate some patience please.

Re: XV6700 and tasks I can do

Well if your PRL is updated and ur phone is already having service, I dont see why not just use the kitchen to build a rom ;D lol.. and as for the 6900 it doesnt loose its WiFi, it just doesnt have one. So I would suggest why not a Mogul
