Question For The Technically Inclined

Ok, so I've been busy learning how to flash roms to my mogul, and it's a real cool thing to do (I'm sure I'm stating the obvious) My one single question is how can I get certain programs to be the default instead of the usual. For example, I have a couple of Vito programs, SMS-Chat and Funcontact, I would like those to be my defaults when I push the corresponding buttons in the tf2d interface. I've been experimenting with the kitchen program too and that's how I came up with the rom I have now, but I have no idea how to add those programs into the list that comes up with all the options, so any answers would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Question For The Technically Inclined

Obviously you have to have OEMs for cooking into your ROM.

Re: Question For The Technically Inclined

Well an OEM is like a RAR file or ZIP file containing the installation files, but a CAB is more like a setup.exe type file. Maybe you could search around. A simple way I just do is keep the cab files on my storage.

Ok, experimenting now....I'll let you know how I do with the BuildOS program and trying to accomplish what I want.

Re: Question For The Technically Inclined

ok, made the cabs into oems, cooked my ROM, and then flashed it to my device. Nice....everything installs like I want it to, the only question is how can I change the defaults so when I press on the contacts for example it opens FunContacts and not the regular windows contacts. Is that a registry tweak for the TF2D interface?

You can load the Softkey Applet using the cab file available here from DotFred:
http://www.dotfred.net/SoftkeyAppletEx.htm

When you select the Softkey icon in "settings" you can choose the program to be opened by either of the two softkeys, ie. the lower buttons.
