Microsoft Windows Origami for Windows Mobile?

So, for those of you that don't know, Microsoft developed a lightweight UI for UMPCs (Ultra-Mobile PCs) called Origami. It runs over Vista for UMPCs like the HTC Shift.

My question is....has anyone tried to "port" this to WIndows Mobile, or tried to develop a hack of it for Windows Mobile? I'm very suprised this doesn't exist for WinMo. It's install MSI is only 20MB....so it would work perfectly on a WinMo phone.

You can check it out at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/pro...c/default.mspx

Re: Microsoft Windows Origami for Windows Mobile?

Looks like you need Vista to begin with and I'm guessing that you would need a pile more RAM (video and system) than a PPC has. Would be kinda neat though.

Re: Microsoft Windows Origami for Windows Mobile?

This looks pretty cool but I dont think it would port over correctly but I might be wrong! Anything is possible!

I'm not trying to tear down the idea, just giving my $0.02.

The Origami service (NowScreen.exe) is only 22MB when it runs. Definately something the Touch Pro can handle.

I wonder if the guys over at XDA-Dev have thought of this.
