Treo 700wx software change to verizon

I'm a newbe so bare with me. I have been searching for 2 weeks trying to convert this 700wx from sprint to verizon. I have accomplished a cdmafirmware update and got the phone on a verizon prl I think cause I do a *228 and get verizon recording. When I did that it set the lock code to 333333 and put cricket info on my phone. When I tried to do the verison 1.22 update it says unsupported device. I can't connect qpst or bitpim to connect thru a hot sync cable I got from ebay which is the one I connect with activesync. Where do I go from here?
