Just a few Questions abou updates

I have a xv6800 and have unlocked it flashed a custom rom and flashed a new radio. My question is what is different about updating this phone one of my friends wanted me to help home update his. I have read that i dont need an unlocker just put it in to bootloader then flash the rom also are there radio updates as well and is just using ppckitchen the best way to get an updated rom.

The Apache is much easier to flash. No unlocking needed. Put it into bootloader (Power+Reset+Record). Then plug it in and run the kitchen, mach the REV verison with the bootloader version on the phone then select your apps and hit play. I got some videos on it. Link in my signature. Not a problem, but c'mon. You can NOT brick this phone. It is built like a rock. We have yet to see some one brick an Apache. We have with the Mogul and Vouge though.

what is a good rom i cant get buildos to work correctly

Use LennySh. I did like Helmi's but it got old and wasen't working right with BuildOs. Lenny's latest roms runs nice. The ones before that though were horiblle.

ill give it a shot it keeps giving me a error building file system aslo is there away to update the bootloader

Why would you want to update the bootloader? Unless it is under v1.00 there is no reason? If you do though flash to a stock rom to update bootloader.

is there anyway to just flash the boot screens i finaly got the os upgraded

I didnt realzie that a lower bootloader verizon didnt necessarly matter lol
