700p conversion to windows?
my friend just picked up a mint treo 700p, but im a windows guy and dont know jack about palm. first, i was wondering if you could flash a wm6 or 6.1 rom onto the 700p, or if the harware is different. and second, if i cant put windows on his phone, do you guys know the best place to find roms and cabs for palm os? thanks in advance.

Too Bad...I used Palm for about 7 years and just switched to the Mogul last August, because my 700p just couldn't cut it anymore, too many crashes and resets from certain applications, also the 650p, 700p, 680p, 755p, and Centro all are running the same lame ROM that is about 4 years old now. They are going to scrap that OS and switch to Linux in early 2009.
Here are some web sites: www.palm.com www.pdaextreme.com From what I know there is no way to swap from Palm OS to Windows OS on a device.

Even if it was possible to switch the OS on the 700P its lack of memory would really cripple its performance.
