Enable Downloads: PIE Plugin

This is a free plugin from SurrealNetworks (who's site is down currently, dunno why).

It definitely works on the Smartphone platform and I bet for PPC PIE too (though if someone can verify?). Here's what it enables for downloading in Internet Explorer:

.aac - Advanced Audio Codec File
.doc - Word Document **
.exe - Executable File
.nes - NES ROM File
.mp4 - MPEG Layer 4 File
.mpg - MPEG Video
.mov - Quick Time Movie File
.ogg - Ogg Vorbis File
.pdf - Adobe Portable Document Format **
.pps - Power Point Show **
.ppt - Power Point Presentation **
.rar - RAR Acrhive
.xls - Excel Spread Sheet **
.zip - ZIP Archive

** Requires proper reader software such as Clear Vue Suite.

I've already downloaded doc's, exe's, pdf's, rar's, and zip files using PIE w/o this plugin. I'll try to find the other stuff to download to see if this plugin is worth having.

Yeah on the smartphone edition there are more limits on what you can DL (which is not much) and we can't do most of the above natively.

It's such a tiny plugin/mod I can't imagine any negative side effects...

It's a CAB file. Just install it. PIE is on main memory, so I'd keep it there.
