How to unlock GSM mode on a Sprint or Samsung IP-830W

I would like to use this phone with any domestic and foreign GSM sim card. THANKS

cannot be done that i know of. as it does not have domestic gsm bands

so is the phone unlocked for foreign use? I'm traveling to Thailand in a couple months and wold like to buy a prepaid sim card to use

cool thanx. I'm going to call sprint and find out for sure. I bought this phone bc I travel a lot and it would pointless if I have to roam with the sprint sim card. I can roam with my treo but its like 2 dollars a minute.

SPRINT branded ip830 isn't locked to any carrier, but VERIZON branded i830 locked to VODAFONE. Have no method to unlock it by now.
