Re: Real or Fake? :L
Haha, I don't know how helpful that was... but it was funny. As to the question at hand, I am not sure how to tell a knock off from the genuine article. Does your device have HTC stamped under the battery?

Re: Real or Fake? :L
Hahaha... Am Under the battery? No just the IMEI, S/N and P/N numbers. And some CE crap. Also says made in Taiwan Am it does say HTC innovation on the battery tho. The phone itself looks real, like tilts, moves etc. The box is not what this phone should be in, its all black with a HTC logo on it, and it shouldn't be like that. You can google it. Am I also read the reviews about the seller and they're not good. Everyone says that the seller cheated them by sending him the broken phone back and never getting refund. Am some say that the phone break down in like 4-5 months... And now i contacted him about the faulty charger and he offered me few options like refund, exchange, new charger. What should i do?

Re: Real or Fake? :L
Humm... well, just above the 'Made in Taiwan' mine has a HTC logo... not sure if that is a tell tale sign that yours in an imitation. I would say that at this point, if your device is working properly, I would just ask for a new charger and you will be all set. But, it is up to you if you think that the effort to get another device from a more reputable source would be worth the trouble. Have a blast out there.

Re: Real or Fake? :L
Tink has a good point... Also remember that there are different versions of the TP2 not including the American versions from Verizon, US Cellular, ATT T-Mobile and Sprint... There are several versions from European carriers and I have no idea if they were available for Asian carriers. Each of which looks different on the outside... No telling what may be going on inside.

Re: Real or Fake? :L
Yeah, that's what I was thinking - To ask for a new charger. The phone works fine, like its looks exactly like the ones on the internet, the battery looks real too. Am so I'll probably risk it since that returning and exchanging thing is awful complicated for me And since it only cost 90 euros i can't complain. Thanks for the help and answers

Re: Real or Fake? :L
No problem bro...
From experience... I can tell you that the Sprint version of the TP2 feels solid in the hand and heavy. I've picked up the Verizon version as well and the quality is also great. Everything fits precisely. If your phone has good build quality and it works and it runs WinMo the way it's supposed to. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Enjoy your phone and come hang here with us. p. |
