Re: Camera focus issue
I'm having this same problem, i can usually get away with taking a picture or two, but in low light it immediately forces the auto focus to about a 2" focal point.
Is this believed to be a hardware issue? I'm on my second phone already (first phone had tons of auto reboots) and I didn't see the auto focus problem on my original phone. |

Re: Camera focus issue
I took my phone in to the local store and they replaced it with a new one, it shouldn't be doing the out of focus thing, and smells like a hardware issue. The tech suggested going into the camera settings and clicking on "reset to defaults" as that "sometimes fixes things." But it didn't on my phone, nor did the factory reset I preformed before I went into the store. If you can, get your phone replaced.
Backup your contacts to google, and I also recommend "SMS Backup +" which will restore SMS and call logs, and backs them up to your gmail under a new SMS tab. |

Re: Camera focus issue
is having the phone replaced the only option we have, or can this be a software/firmware issue?
i'll unroot & swap it out if i really have to, but as we all know, it's inconvenient. lol. thank you, -u |

Re: Camera focus issue
I have the opposite. When I try to get a close-up shot, even on macro mode. I can see it focus right through the perfect spot and go super blurry. I know it CAN focus on something so close because it will pass right over the perfect focus.

Re: Camera focus issue
*UPDATE* *camera works now*
i decided to take the phone back to see if Sprint would swap it out... -first, i unrooted.. -second, i tried to run the latest RUU (exe). that did not work, so i flashed the PJ75IMG.zip from HBOOT. -before taking it in, i tested out the camera one last time, but it worked fine. no focus issues. went from macro for far to macro to far... tested it indoors and out doors, and in different lighting... something in that RUU fixed it.. -u |
