music and pandora through bluetooth?

Am I missing something here? Being somewhat new to android... I can't figure out how to play music through my old Bluetooth earbud. It worked in windows. Various searches haven't turned up anything. Little help please?

Re: music and pandora through bluetooth?

Your earbud must support A2DP. More info on your earbud would be useful too.

Re: music and pandora through bluetooth?

win mobile would rout the audio over just about anything using the hands free or headset profiles, so no matter if you where using the headset for calls or for music you would get audio. android only uses a2dp like sanmanc said for music because that's what it is intended for, stereo audio. i havent seen a way to get a android device to rout audio through any of the older profiles, even if it does its still going to sound poor since hands free and headset profiles are meant for calls.

you can pick up a a2dp head set fairly cheap, but make sure that it does support it, there is still alot of head sets out that only support the headset/hands free profiles.

You need an app called Bluetooth mono but I personally use Bluetooth switcher. It works like a charm. U play ur music and hit the switch and it goes from your phone through ur bt.

Sent from my Beastly EVO.. And did I mention it has 3D?

Re: music and pandora through bluetooth?

Thx. I'll try those apps or just get a new headset. It doesn't need to sound good, just something to listen too when busy.

Any a2dp headset will work with Android os. I use a motorola Bluetooth headset with Pandora all the time. You don't need any special programs to get to work.

Re: music and pandora through bluetooth?

I use the Best Buy Rocket Fish BT headphones for music and calls, I used to use the Motorola ones prior.

Yeah any a2dp headset will definitely work. If u r like me and have a pair that doesn't have that feature and ur not wanting to buy a new pair then u need one of the apps mentioned.
