Skin Picker Crash

I flashed a custom lock ring on my phone. Then a week or so later I downloaded a different skin. Now when I try to go back to the HTC default skin, the skin picker crashes. I am able to select the other stock skins with no issues. I've tried restoring the skin app using TiBackup with no luck and also flashed the stock lock ring back on. I hope I will not have to flash a clean ROM to get it working again, well I will probably be going with a custom ROM too anyhow just can't decide which one.
