Re: Question for people who had the EVO 4G
It worked quite well out of the box... Only that it was slightly bogged down with unwanted Sprint Apps, otherwise Stock wasn't so bad. GPS worked great (unlike samsung), not many bugs and overall responsive. The only thing that was lacking was the battery life, but after rooting and changing roms, that became less of a problem and opened up several new options.
Try rooting, it's easy to restore back if you decide you don't like it. You have more flexibility and if there are any bugs, people are quick to try to fix their roms. Remember, unlike companies that make the phones, Cooks of roms ALSO use these roms so they will have more of an incentive to fix the bugs, at quicker rates.

Re: Question for people who had the EVO 4G
The biggest improvement I saw was when 2.3.3 was released by Sprint/HTC. (I saw a significant battery life improvement - that was my only complaint with the EVO 4G).

Re: Question for people who had the EVO 4G
After the 2.3.3 update, my Evo 4G was smooth as butter. My 3D right now is like my Evo 4G WITHOUT 2.3.3 update, kinda sluggish, but I'm chalking it up to that hound of a hog sense 3.0....but I like it so damn much!! Anywho.....

In one year the Evo had about 5-6 OTA updates and went from 2.1 to 2.2 to 2.3.
I never really had a problem with anything. Sent from my Evo3D on the PPCGeeks App
