Sync WP7 with more than 2 computers?

I'm new to the Windows phone 7 dealio and I haven't had a chance to play around with one yet because I'm on the big red network and I'm still waiting for the Trophy, but can you sync with more than 2 computers? Windows Mobile you can only sync with 2 computers and I think that is very limited. I have a work computer, my desktop at home and 2 laptops and would like to sync up with all of them.

Re: Sync WP7 with more than 2 computers?

Since WM7 sync'ing is cloud based then you should be able to sync with as many PC's as you want. I haven't sync'd with more than two PC's yet, but I do not think this is a limitation any longer. Sync'ing is done via Windows Live so you will need to create a Windows Live ID if you do not have one yet.

Zune lets you sync up to five phones per log in ID and phones can be swapped out. You sync your phone to the PC to have it added to the Zune phone list. I do not think Zune sync'ing is limited either even though you register your phone to the PC by Zune. Zune on the PC is the only place the phone is registered the phone does not register PC's so it should not care how many you use.

Wirelessly posted (WP7 Beta Tester: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 7.0; Windows Phone OS 7.0; Trident/3.1; IEMobile/7.0; HTC; HD7))

I had Zune and my phone synced to 3 pc's and 1 laptop... no issues.

Re: Sync WP7 with more than 2 computers?

Keep in mind that outlook/contacts syncing is ONLY DONE BY MS EXCHANGE SERVER not by ActiveSync to a computer like it used to be with WM6.

That really sucks... so I can't sync my contacts to my outlook if I don't have exchange server? I loved how I could just add a contact on my outlook and then just sync my phone.

Re: Sync WP7 with more than 2 computers?

you don't have to have an exchange server just a regular live account. I personally recommend getting a live account just for this purpose to avoid a mess in the people hub
what's also good is that u can even add in an exchange email within that live account and have email, contacts etc from that account sync with hotmail which will also sync with ur device and vice versa.
