Samsung SCH-i760 EMS

Does the i760 support EMS messages (i.e. long texts over 160 characters?)

Like the 6700, the i760 will break long text messages apart into multiple 160 character messages when sending.

Actually, I meant receiving (should have put that in the TLP.) Can it receive EMS messages?

Diggin up an old thread here. I recently bought my i760 and it does not breakup messages when receiving. Only when sending as I can see. Its irratating. Im still trying to figure it out. Lots of discussion about this on other forums. Some say its an issue with verizon security settings limiting message length for whatever reason. Might want to try a third party messaging application.

Send a message via Skype™ to Genjinaro
It can send and receive full messages. However the person receiving/sending it must also have a similarly capable phone to do so.

If your large messages are sent to a dumbphone, they will get broken down.
If Someone is sending large messages from a dumbphone to your PPC the will be broken down.

If 2 PPCs are sending messages back and forth they will get full messages either way.

It still breaks them apart, I have the i760 and my wife has a 6700 with wm6 loaded and any message over 160 gets broke apart. Also it seems that at times messages that are over 480 will get delivered in the wrong order.
