"You simply need to log into WP7 with a LiveID such as a Hotmail account so it syncs your WP7 with SkyDrive (via windowsphone.live.com) which gives you 25GB of storage in the cloud. At the moment, it does not provide services for text messages and a few other features that WinMo's MyPhone service had but I'm sur they are working on enablignthose features here as well. However, no call records are synced". thats from a wp7 tech guy but question was mainly for backing up apps ect but still has little info. to your issue. |

A lot more features are coming in the early year update - I think the fall update may be a bigger "relaunch" for the platform which will have some of the hold over capabilities.
FYI - WP7 does not suck. It's for those who are tired of tinkering with their phone all day and just want the damn thing to work.
