Switch from Touch Pro 2

So I had the Touch Pro, and as everyone knows it has a bajillion problems. I finally got a refurb Touch Pro 2 from SPrint but it's also a piece of cr*p. So I am officially done with Windows phones! What I am really looking for is a phone that gives me all the conviniences the TP2 gives, but actually works. SO how does this phone compare? How is it worse and how better?

Re: Switch from Touch Pro 2

You are leaving the TP2 so obviously it's better for you.
I've never had a problem with my TP2... So for me the TP2 is better. That's pretty much what you are going to get here on this thread. A bunch of opinions.
You should check out the phone you are looking at and try it for 30 days. Then decide if you want to keep it or not.
Just my two cents.

Re: Switch from Touch Pro 2

I started with HTC Mogul, then got HTC Touch Diamond, then HTC Touch Pro, then HTC Touch Pro2... although this phone isn't the best Android phone by any means, I enjoy it more than any of my windows mobile phones. I moved to Virgin Mobile to save money each month but if I was on Sprint still most likely I would rather get either the Transform or Epic4G. With the Intercept I am able to do everything I could with my WM phones and more and I do not miss needing to flash my phone every other day, rebooting, lockups, etc...

Re: Switch from Touch Pro 2

Save yourself the trouble, IMO a horrible phone.
Android is great and performs wonders on the Epic.
Bad display resolution too.
Got the Intercept for my wife, tons of FCS, data dropping freezes, games like Angry Birds dont work, etc. Like one80oneday said get either the Transform or Epic4G.

Just read these rave reviews on Sprints site:

Re: Switch from Touch Pro 2

I thought I'd never leave my Touch Pro2 on SERO. But after picking up an Epic on craigslist for $200, the TP2 sits quietly in the cabinet collecting dust. It's a great phone, but the Epic is Outstanding in comparison. I never have to "soft reset" this thing, it just WORKS. With 2.2 out, having flash video, I don't see myself wanting another phone for a long time.

I agree. There are better Android phone options out there. There's a big price difference between the Intercept and the rest. You get what you pay for.
