Airplane mode randomly activates.

I had an extra Sprint Touch that was sent to me erroneously and they wouldn't let me take back.

My old touch screen died and now I am using this new one that keeps going into airplane node, several times a day causing me to miss calls.

Is there anyone who can help me just get rid of this bug..heck, I will even get rid of airplane mode all together to stop this!!

Are you using the shipped rom? If not I recommend you flash it and see if you still have this issue. If it stops then you know it is a software issue. If it continues then it's a hardware issue. Then if it stops then flash another custom rom.

Believe it, this phone could end up being something like the Model T of touchscreen phones!

fixxxer, I hope you are not intending to offend people in the Vogue forum simply because we use (even prefer) a phone in your past.

Mike, is the 'End' (red) hardware button set so that a long press puts phone in airplane mode? To check on this, go to...

Start > Settings > System (tab) > Long Press End Key

Have you tried soft reset? Hard reset?
