simple instructions for using a ringtone i downloaded

I downloaded a ringtone. When I go to the ringtone file on my TP2 I see the file. When I go to the ringtone setting on my cell I just see the list of factory preset ringtones.

What can I do to get the ringtone over to where all the others are so I can select it.

Put the file in \Windows\Rings. Should show up assuming it's valid.

Assuming it's a valid ringtone file, it should just appear after placing the file in the location I listed above.

What's the extension on the file?

That's the problem i Googled the type file and my phone doesn't support

Not sure what type that is. If you can manage to convert it to mp3 or aac, something the phone will recognize as a ringtone then you should be fine.
