Farewell to Apache

After 4yrs and 5 replacements Sprint is upgrading my PPC6700 with PPC6800 (Mogul). They finally ran out of PPC6700 and will be receiving the Mogul tomorrow.

It was a great run using Apache and I impressed a lot of people with that phone on everything I did to it. So now the Mogul on the way, I will be moving over to the TITAN forum.

To all those who worked on Apache, thanks for the memory's.

Re: Farewell to Apache

To me, the Apache is the ORIGINAL smart phone. It does so much than some other "smart phones."
Have fun with the Mogul, I had major problems with the wifi, and I bitched about it till they upgraded me to the Touch Pro... Keep movin up Pocketforall!

Re: Farewell to Apache

I just upgraded to a myTouch 4G. It is amazing how the dev community kept that phone going for so long.

I don't know if i'm just being nostalgic but I doubt the 4G will last with me as long.

(BTW, it is the original, never an exchange, keep on ticking even after being dropped several times.)

Forgot to ad that i'm hoping to turn it into a wifi alarm clock ala chumby. SO it will live on.

Re: Farewell to Apache

I'm glad to hear you are getting an upgrade... Nevermind what haters have to say about your good fortune. Only you know what's best for you and what isn't. I know I made some financial sacrifices when I went to the TP2. Money was tight but I made it happen with some creative financing. Have fun with your new device.
