Best NON-SMARTPHONE?

Opinions Please....What is currently the best non-smartphone?
**meaning sprint isn't going to say the phone can only activated on a "smartphone plan"? (I'm still on an old school plan and pay just 15bucks extra for "unlimited" data.)

I currently have a TouchPro (raphael) and I am ed with its cellular/data signal strength. I have tried many different radios, but still the signal stinks. My job (which is where I need the phone the most) is in a Sprint low signal area....which means missed/dropped calls regularly and data speeds less than 5KBps.

It's a crying shame really, because otherwise, this phone is pretty sweet. I love that it functions as a wifi router, gps, and is so customizable thanks to winmo and custom roms.....and I think I can live with the battery issues (after lots of tweaking)....but the poor reception is unbearable.

So, my previous phone phone was a samsung exclaim...and I tethered it for cellular data...and, while its signal was low also....it worked much better (at the same job) thanks to its apparently superior antenna/radio....so the TP is definitely the problem. The problem with the exclaim was that it wasn't very customizable and didn't have wifi, or freegps.
