Touch screen on calls

Under the Keyguard settings menu, there's the option to "Disable touchscreen" while on a phone call.

On my Touch Diamond, it would turn off my touch screen when I answer the phone, so there'd be no danger of my face mashing buttons while I talk, but I could easily access the controls simply by turning on the screen.

With the Disable touchscreen option, the screen stays on, but I can't touch it, which seems like both a waste of batteries and is really inconvenient when I do need to do something like put it on speaker or enter a number.

Is there anyway to make it act more like my old Diamond?

no, your diamond had a light sensor on it. We do not have that on the Treo Pro so it would not seem that we can use this feature... Have you tried S2U2?

That's a shame. Does anyone know if there is a cab that could just automatically shut off the screen on answering a call?

Oh, ya, thanks for that by the way! I should have been more clear. S2U2 does so much, when all I need is for the screen to turn off on call. I was hoping there'd be something more lightweight that would work.
