Touch Diamond Very Slow

I have a Touch Diamond that gets very slow, like it takes 30+ seconds to load my texts or contacts. I have 92 MB program memory free but only 12.5 MB of storage memory. Is there anything I can do? Any updates I need or some program to help?

I have Verizon if it matters.

Delete old text messages...make sure emails store on the internal storage...make sure you install all apps on the internal storage...install cleanRAM

Getting rid of all the texts and the cleanRAM worked like a charm, thanks.
