New HD2 user

I have been using a Iphone and am so glad to be back on with WinMo and HTC!!! Now that I'm back, I am having a issue with my unlocked HTC HD2. My HD2 is a T Mobile phone, that is unlocked and I'm using it with At&t. I just unlocked it last night and have been using my Wifi at home. When I left home, I realized my data service is not working. My question is how do I get my internet service to work? I realize it may not get 3G service, but how do I get my internet service to work, at least with Edge?

Thanks in advance for any help.

P.S. .........I've missed you PPCGEEKS......it's good to be home......

I just came back home also. After a year with the iphone (hated it) I missed WM and was just waiting for the right device to move back.

Anyways do you have a data plan? you should if you told AT&T its an HD2 (they will force on you anyways) You might need to contact customer service to help you set up. It be best if you call from a phone that is not your HD2. I read in another forum that you can get data (Not sure 3G) using the HD2 on AT&T.

Re: New HD2 user

Hi,
Go to Settings>Menu>All Settings>Connections>Connections>Manage existing connections
if you don't have connection set up, tap on new, if you do tab on it, and tap on edit.
name it, and select Cellular Line (GPRS) as your modem. tap next, enter the Access Point Name as: wap.cingular
tap next and tap finish.

Re: New HD2 user

thanks. i actually found this in xda developers last early this morning. i now have edge and of course no 3g. as far as your link above......i already have the tmobile hd2, and to me its not worth buying another hd2 just to have 3g. i rarely use the net on my phone when wifi is not available anyways.

omce again thanks.......thats why i love ppcgeeks!!!
