Road Sync here, I like it better than both the others, because it doesn't enforce the security policy at all, not sure how that is even possible, it just does not make me have a pin number or password what so ever. There is a 14 day free trial, and I'm not sure what it is now, but it was only $9.99 when I bought it last week.
I have a friend here that has touchdown on his Eris, as our exchange does not work below 2.1, since it is so locked down. He likes it, as you said it keeps things separate from the OS, so that you can still password protect your email without having to password protect your whole phone. If you have a lower security exchange server setup at your company then the stock app should suit you just fine.

I have tried the stock mail app, Moxier and Touchdown and ultimately ended up buying Touchdown because I liked the features more than the others. It also comes with some very cool widgets for appointments, tasks, emails, etc.
