Re: Ringtone fix
No. That is how windows based phones work. That is why ringtones for texts and alarms have to be put in a separate location than regular ringtones. All the default notifications are filtered to a specific length for that reason. The only real fix is to use shorter tones. You could try a 3rd party app for ringtones and notifications but they may do the same thing.

Re: Ringtone issue as well
The only ringtone I have been able to place and actually use on my phone was for the default ringer...I cant get seperate ringtones for each contact like I could on my other HTC phones. I am also having trouble setting ringtones for my email as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Ringtone fix
To choose ringtones for each contact just open the contact, choose edit, then scroll down to ringtone and select a new one.
SMS, alarms, and email notifications all have to be put in the \windows\ directory or my device\application data\sounds folder. |

I tried that and there wasn't an option for that until I copied all of my ringtones to the Windows folder on my phone. Once I did that everything worked just fine. Thanks |
