Transfer SMS/MMS/call log to new phone? WM6.1

Is there a way to copy all of my picture and text messaging as well as my call log to a new phone?

Basically, I want to be able to backup and restore all of my history to be used on a phone for hard reset situations and be able to copy it over to a new phone as well after an update.

I'm using Windows Mobile 6.0 on a Palm Treo 700wx as the current phone and want to use a Samsung SCH-i770 Saga with Windows Mobile 6.1 in the future.

If there are just some database files and the messaging folder that I need to copy that would be great. I don't need to be able to append entries to the history, but diff and r+ would be a nice functionality.

no myphone on 6.1. pim backup works best. if you are restoring your sms, turn airplane mode on then restore, otherwise you have A LOT of duplicates sent.
