Re: cant use phone after....
settings - wireless & networks - Bluetooth Settings - Click on the device hold it and check the options, make sure both phone and media are selected. Are you using the default player?

this sometimes happens to me as well... kind of a pain... i assume its from rooting the phone and loading custom ROMs... i just have to power cycle though, no battery pull..

Re: cant use phone after....
I have the same issue with Pandora. If I have it hooked up to my car through a 3.5mm audio cable and someone calls, you have to leave the audio cable in and make the phone call over your car speakers otherwise if you unplug the phone to make a call like normal, you cannot hear the other person through the phone itself (but they can hear you). My boss has this same issue too. I think it's because if you unplug the audio cable on an incoming call, the Droid thinks there is still something plugged into it. That is the extent of my knowledge at least.
BTW, stock ROM, but rooted. Boss's is stock everything. |

Re: cant use phone after....
I think that he assumed that you were using bluetooth and not a wire. If you had paired previously with a BT unit, it would show the device name. There you could click on it and set things up. This is not the case with you. This is probably a software issue. If not, it's the hardware jack itself. I use bluetooth in my truck with my in-dash media link on my head unit and I don't have this problem. I have never used the HP jack.
