Re: 3 to 4 Ring delay?
Seriously? Nobody with a ring delay issue of 3 to 4 rings before the 02 accepts the call and rings?
OK. Then I must have a bad phone. That means I get a new one. ![]() Last edited by Robtao; 02-08-2010 at 06:01 PM. |

Re: 3 to 4 Ring delay?
I have the Verizon (1-920) version of the Omnia ii and the way I fixed it is I went to Settings / Phone Settings/ Voice Privacy and turned off Voice Privacy. With it on and testing from my land line my phone would pick up on the second ring or later and with it off my phone would pick up on the first ring. However, the Voice Privacy screen states: "Voice Privacy: Allows you to select the level of encryption used when making or receiving phone calls. Enhanced mode offers more security but can be associated with network delay while the advanced encryption if encoded or decoded." So with it set to off you have less security, and I suppose people could listen in on your calls easier, but no network delay. Anyone no of any other down sides to turning this off. I'm not too worried about someone listening in on my conversations as nothing all the important is being discussed.

Re: 3 to 4 Ring delay?
It was worth a try, but no luck. 4 full rings before even thinking about ringing.
New phone already on its way from Verizon. Insurance is a good thing. |

Re: 3 to 4 Ring delay?
Yeah a 4 ring delay is ridiculous. Many people on other forums have complained of 2 to 3 ring delays, so yeah returning the phone is a good idea. It sucks having to set everything up again, but on the other hand it nice to have a blank slate. I'm in So Cal also, Camarillo.

Re: 3 to 4 Ring delay?
Crazy! New phone takes just a bit LONGER to answer!
I called Verizon and they did something in the system (I will post back if I find out what it was) and now I get it on 1 or 2 rings. Way better. Edit: This didn't last long. It may be related to location. Really bad at home. 4 rings again. Last edited by Robtao; 03-08-2010 at 07:26 PM. |

Re: 3 to 4 Ring delay?
Try changing the slot cycle to a lower number
See http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/samsu...x-changes.html Use the Swype D-Pad, accessed using the Edit button, in the next to lower left of the Swype keyboard |
