New to the XV6700

Hello all. Im glad to be a member of this site. Im using an Audiovox XV6700 with windows mobile 5 on the verizon network. Any tips or tricks on using it would be greatly appreciated. Im a previous Motorola Q user also with Windows mobile 5. Is there much difference between the phones? Seeing how they both ran WM5 would a lot of the same programs be able to be used on the XV6700? Such as the SDHC hack? Or Nes emulators? Thanks again for the assistance for a newbie. Sorry if im asking repeat questions. If i can please point me to links. Thanks a bunch

i believe there is a SDHC hack for the 6700 also. as for the nes emulator if it worked on the Q im sure it will work just fine on here.

Re: New to the XV6700

If you haven't done so already, read through this sticky:

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=779

lots of good starter tips on there. Learn how the phone works first. Then figure out what you would like to see it do. (It's alot different that the Q was)

Then, I would highly recommend updating your ROM. WM5 was OK in it's day, but not as good as some of the other ROM's that have been put together here in the past. I've been running Verizonguy's WM6 for a couple years without any troubles.

These days, there are "kitchens" that alow you to put together a ROM with the features you want. MUCH better than what was originally on the phone!!!!!

Good Luck!
