change a battery .dll file

Is it possible to change battery .dll file in a cooked rom to a oem battery .dll.I'm on Bell canada like so many others put a cooked rom in my omnia i910 from vzw now I can't use the phone cause I have a unsupported battery. Is there a way to change the battery files to make it work with the cooked rom instead of the original bell rom.

Re: change a battery .dll file

I wouldn't try to put a Verizon rom on your Bell phone since all the chefs say that they are simply not compatible with each other. Maybe if you backed up your battery dll before flashing and then tried to do it after, it would work, or if you downloaded the kitchen and created your own. I have no idea if that would work since I've never cooked my own rom and I wouldn't try in case it bricked (plus, it's even worse if you don't have any way to get back to the stock Bell software in case you screw something up/need to get the phone replaced).

I'm in the same boat as you, the problem is more than the battery though, even if you get the correct battery driver (which is possible) the radio still won't work. Unless you can get a copy of the original Telus/Bell rom and reflash, your phone is essentially useless.
