Will the Y2KX bug fix automatically?

Just found out yesterday that my mogul on 6.5 build 23008 and my brothers mogul same rom has the bug. My question here is if this will automatically be updated and corrected? Will reflashing the phone as a fresh start work? I really dont want to try the fix just yet. What is everyone else doing about it?

so far none of my coworkers have this issue they have iphones and htc androids, im the only one with sprint and a windows phone.

I doubt there will be any kind of update to the ROM. However going forward the ROM chefs may incorporate the fix. I have used the fix (cab and registry entry) and it works.

My old texts did not change so I deleted them. All the new ones are correct.
