new year 2010 threaded SMS timestamp errors with stock 6.1 rom

i just noticed this today; it took effect last night. instead of timestamping new received messages, the threaded sms app that comes stock with the sprint 6.1 rom is dating them as 1/1 (no time). this puts my whole inbox out of order. oddly enough, messages that i send are timestamped. any insight/fixes would be appreciated!

im having the same exact problem and its just started today at 12:01 omg this is VERYYY frustrating! i hope someone is smart enough to come up with a fix for this because if not imma go crazy!

mine says 2016 for the date of my text messages. however my clock is set to 2010. i do not know how to fix it and am looking for help

same scenario as you.... mine also says 2016. who woulda thought that we'd get through Y2K just fine but have this happen 10 years later?

i deleted ALL of my text messages (inbox/sent/deleted items/drafts) thinking that might purge the cache or something; that did nothing. i'm going through the registry now to see if i can find anything promising.

found the fix; you'll need to add a DWORD entry into your registry

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\OEM\SMS]
"RecvTimeStamp"=dword:00000001

Ever since Jan 1st my phone randomly freezes when I try to text message. The messages I do manage to send and receive show up in the correct order so I don't believe I have a time stamp issue. Has there been any other issues reported that are related to the new decade?

The phone functions fine until I start to type in a text message. When I start typing about 2/3 times the phone won't type any letters and then partially freezes. I then have to remove the battery as it never shuts down if I try to hold the power button.

What should I be looking for? I built the ROM about six months ago and haven't had any issues since so I'm rusty on working on my phone. Should I try a new build? or is there a cab or setting I should be looking for?
