Omnia Issues

I have a Samsung Omnia I910 that has been fully flashed and I have been having issues with it here lately. The phone and text work perfectly every time, and SOMETIMES my mms and internet work, usually this is after soft reseting my phone. If I don't soft reset my phone after using the internet my phone stays in 1X and will not revert back to EVDO. If I try to use the internet again I get this message:

"Dialed: #777
Cannot connect for an unknow reason. To check your connection settings and change them if needed, tap Settings. If the problem continues, reset your mobile device according to your manufacturer's documentation and try again."

If I soft reset sometimes my internet will work, and sometimes it doesn't. I am at my wits end with this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Re: Omnia Issues

Well, after reflashing my phone a half dozen times I narrowed down the problem to one or two programs that seem to be causing my problem. It seems that my internet does not like Iconsoft PhoneEx or Iris web browser. I am not sure which one of the programs or both of them that seem to be causing the issue, but after a final reflash of my phone and leaving both of those programs out everything on my phone seems to be working like it should.

Re: Omnia Issues

it will only show EVDO when your phone is receiving an EVDO signal.

Re: Omnia Issues

That is odd...I have EVDO showing on my phone, then get a phone call and it drops to 1X which I understand, then it will switch back to EVDO when the call is done...I am in an EVDO area, then when I use the internet it drops back to 1X.

I know the Omnia is capable of 3G on the Verizon Network, and CricKet also has the 3G network, a friend has a CricKet branded phone with 3G, so there has to be a way to get the phone to authenticate on 3G or at least EVDO for data I would think.
