Stop End button from unlocking the phone

I recently bought a new belt case for the omnia (a verizon droid case, perfect fit) but have ran into an annoying problem that I just can't find a solution for.

In the last 2 weeks, my phone has called people about 6 times on its own. The end key is getting pressed down in the case sometimes when I sit, bend over, etc and unlocking the phone, then the dial gets pressed and away it goes.

How can I turn this off? Holding down 'End' should not unlock the phone. Pressing 'unlock' and then 'unlock' again on the screen is the only way I want to unlock it.

Thanks!

Re: Stop End button from unlocking the phone

What about downloading something like S2U2 (slide to unlock)?

Re: Stop End button from unlocking the phone

That's what I use, but if you want to just use the stock lock, hold down the end key until the device locks.

Re: Stop End button from unlocking the phone

That's the problem though. If you hold down the end key again, it unlocks. I don't want that, its unlocking by itself from pressing the case on accident.

I just installed s2u2. Any way to run this by pressing the end key down when locking the device? Or do I have to navigate to the program every time? Sorry I'm a noob with the phone. When the program is on, it does indeed turn off the end key unlock which is what I want.

Re: Stop End button from unlocking the phone

Mine does not unlock when end is pressed again. Make sure you are holding the button down UNTIL it locks.

RE: S2U2, go into Settings and tell it when you want it to lock your device. Mine locks when the screen goes blank or when I quickly press the power button.

Re: Stop End button from unlocking the phone

Ah, ok. Quickly pressing the power button locks it with s2u2. Its also set now with s2u2 turning on after a few seconds when being locked. Cool program, thanks!

As to the unlock on hold. Holding down the End button locked the phone. The brightness dims and I have to press the 'Unlock' graphic to unlock it, then press again on Unlock where it says 'To unlock the device, tap "Unlock"'. If I hold down End however (while its locked) the phone unlocks itself.

Anyway problem solved, thanks again all.
