Your text message cannot be sent. (Metro PCS)
Hey all, I'm new to this site, so I accidentally posted in my intro a question I had, then figured the odds aren't very good someone is going to read my "Hello all" that can help me out, so I thought I'd try ya here and see.
I have a Omnia i910 that I had flashed to metro PCS, then paid to have it unlocked ($75 that I wish I hadn't spent at this point). I am hoping here I can learn a little about how this was done, how I could do it again to my phone if necessary (such as if I have to hard reset), and how I can fix the things that should work, but no longer do such as my regular text messaging. I can send pix messages now YAY!, though not through the send option on the camera when I take one and I can't send a regular text unless I send it as a MMS but leave out a picture. If someone sends me a regular text, I can't reply. Been trying to figure out if my server settings are correct, but can only find stuff on the picture messaging, nothing on SMS. Hoping maybe this is a good place to start. Please don't flame me for being a noob, I'm new, but I learn fast and wouldn't ask for help if I hadn't looked all over the place for my answers first. Whenever I try to send a SMS (Text) message I get the error: "Your text message cannot be sent." I've called Metro, they "reset" my account and told me it should be working. My girlfriend can text me from her flashed phone and she has Metro too, so I know it's not a network problem. I can receive text's, but I can't reply to them as I get the same error. I believe my MMS settings are however correct, because if I send a MMS message, type but don't add a picture, then tell it no when it tries to send it as SMS it works, they just get a media message from me with nothing but text. Also, if it helps, here are my server settings (there are only two): Server Name: Verizon Wireless Gateway: Port Number: 80 Server Address: http://mms.vtext.com/servlets/mms Connect via: metropcs Send Limit: 399k Server Name: metropcs Gateway: wap.metropcs.net Port number: 3128 Server address: http://mms.metropcs.net:3128/mmsc Connect via: metropcs Send Limit: 399k |
