New Flash: No government employee is going to prosecute, or even investigate, anyone doing this.
Those laws were passed when the only service available was analog and esn cloning was used for stealing service from other individual's account, which is a crime.
Frankly, if you OWN a phone, you should be able to use it on the account you PAY for, no matter what carrier you CHOOSE.
This whole debate is so stupid because Boost IS Sprint and we all own these phones and we are all paying our bills.

Laws are laws, while some are lenient..in this case this law is prosecuted even if you own both phones. In the past people abused ESN cloning as you mentioned and now everyone is punished by it...
While we all wish for all phones to be open on all networks, carriers do not..and they make sure these laws are fully prosecuted as it benefits them...
That said talking about ESN cloning is also against the rules of this forum..so regardless the topic is not to be discussed.
