WM 6.5 Custom Taskbar

how can I change the Start text on WM 6.5 ROM? I read your how to's but I can't see the string value 321 to change the text

Use resHacker to edit it, on the left hand side when you open the file you will see String Value, open it and navigate to 321. If you are using PE Explorer you will not be able to.

Thanks! Though I was able to see the string using the PE Explorer. I clicked on resource viewer/editor, boom! there it was. Your How-to's are the best!!!

Now is there a way for me to make the taskbars on home tab disappear or invisible? I want to see just the wallpaper and manila tabs. Is that possible?

There is, however I am not running WM 6.5 at the moment so I am not sure, I have seen screenshots of it so I know it can be done.

so. i'm still trying to get tsowen's WM6.5 taskbar to work. i have sdkcerts installed. after i install the cab, signal, volume, and ok/close icons will change. the battery icon shows the initial battery icon (15, 1033) from shellres which actually doesn't work. will only show that icon (doesn't change based on battery and entire icon will disappear if i try to charge). i was hoping for the misfortune's battery icons in phcanOverbmp. i have all the registry settings for using phcan but from what i've seen, it still doesn't pull any icons from that file. all my default icons come from my default phcan file though...

anyone know anything about this?
(btw, using energyrom 3.0 if that helps any)

Make sure your registry says the following:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\security\ResOver\Bitmaps]
"BatteryIconLevels"=dword:65 (Hex) or 101 (Dec)
"BatteryIconIdStart"=dword:3e9 (Hex) or 1001 (Dec)
"BaseDll"="phcanOverbmp.dll"
"BaseId"=dword:0

If not ask the chef rom if he hard cioded something into the rom to make it not read the phcanOverbmp.dll

my registry settings are correct. the rom was cooked to get icons from the phcanOverbmp.dll originally so i know that i knows to look there. it seems unlikely but unless there was a way to lock it to read from the original phcanOverbmp.dll only. i'll ask and see what i find. if anything else comes to mind, please let me know. thanks.

ive searched both here & xda and i can't really find any taskbars for qvga? can you guys recommend any that might work on 6.5? im still hoping for a port of taskbar elite for 6.5 qvga!
